These days, when visiting Chu Dang Ya volcano (Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province), visitors have more options to extend their trip while immersing themselves in the freshness of the buckwheat flower garden. blooming right at the foot of the mountain.
This buckwheat flower garden belongs to Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet’s family (Ko village, Chu Dang Ya commune). As a local tour guide, Ms. Tuyet always worries about how to make her homeland attract a large number of tourists. In 2018, she joined a motorbike taxi team to transport tourists to the top of Chu Dang Ya mountain to visit and experience. In 2022, with the desire to enrich the landscape at the foot of the mountain, she planted a butterfly flower garden for tourists to take check-in photos.
Ms. Tuyet, the owner of the buckwheat flower garden in Chu Dang Ya, has attracted a large number of tourists. However, she is constantly looking for innovative ways to make the garden more impressive and beautiful. In early August 2023, she decided to plant the famous buckwheat flower from the northern mountains, a flower loved by tourists. She shared, “Gia Lai also has some people growing buckwheat flowers, but they don’t have the majestic mountain scenery like in the Northwest. This year, I chose buckwheat flowers to bring something new and attractive. for residents and visitors.”
Ms. Tuyet bought buckwheat flower seeds from the Northwest and sowed them in two areas with different blooming times. The largest garden has an area of about 4 acres and to create a unique highlight, she and her husband created the Olympic symbol with 5 circles. Favorable weather has helped buckwheat plants grow strongly. Currently, the buckwheat flower garden has begun to bloom, creating a poetic scene with delicate petals mixed with white and light pink, located in the middle of vast mountains and hills.
Ms. Tuyet has also carefully calculated to ensure that when the wild sunflowers begin to fade, visitors will still have something interesting in the buckwheat flower garden. Currently, the garden has collected check-in photo tickets for 20,000 VND/person, mainly to offset the costs of seeds, planting and care.
